Title: strange one cant work it out
Post by: opel on 25 July 2012, 22:30: basically the last week or so when i go out to the car first thing in the morning when i go to unlock the car it locks itself back up. it does it for a couple of mins and then its fine. i cant work it out it always the morning but not at night or middy just the morning. last year it had a new drivers door module on it so it shudnt be that any ideas anyone :undecided:

Post by: opel on 25 July 2012, 22:40: no i tired it with the texa at work but it wouldnt let me into the door module part ill have to invest in one. would a snap on tool do it as my brother got one

Had to cut the mounting rods as they were hitting my heat shields And also cut the centre support bit as the back of it was hitting the exhaust but other than than top quality for money and it roars when you spin up! :grin:

Post by: opel on 30 July 2012, 22:02: dam car going to work in early morning and the bloody thing wouldnt even unlock it just put the interior lights on. after 5 mins of trying it finaly decided to pop up so i grab the handle and opened it :angry: tired it at dinner it was fine and 2night coming home it was fine why only in the morning :undecided:

Post by: dom on 31 July 2012, 23:01: The door modules can usually be repaired, the problem is that VW used a lack of solder. The constant opening and closing of means that the soldered joint cracks:

Post by: dasan on 01 August 2012, 11:45: I've got a busted door latch solenoid on the drivers side. so i too get the door locking itself unless the key is in the ignition.
Has anyone repaired this via the Vortex guide or am i better off getting spanner jockey to replace with a new latch?

Post by: opel on 15 August 2012, 18:06: found the convience module but it all looked gud it all strange now it only unlocks the boot and not the doors bloody German door locks

Post by: hainesz on 16 August 2012, 00:21: defo sounds like ccm aka covenience control module buddy... if you connect it to vag com and it cant find controller then id say get another ccm... just make sure its the same part number buddy... have you had any problems with the electric windows, mirrors, puddle lights also?
