I finally picked up my Edition 35 this morning after a fair but not too bad a wait.
Part Ex'd my Edition 30 in and was quite sad to see it go really, it was a great car and i'm sure the 35 will be also.
Not had an extended drive as yet as i'm supposed to be 'working from home' but initial impressions are good. I'm liking the Steel Grey and will no doubt be easier to clean than the Black 30 that departed.
Didn't get my 35 Keyring grrrrr but will keep chasing. I'm certainly not the first nor the last to fall foul of this.
Will post some pics for anyone whose is not totally bored by now of seeing ED35's on Friday when I am actually off work and not just pretending to be!

Cool, I had a Black ED30 and was very sad like you when it went. However the ED35 is a better all round car you will not be disappointed. Looking forward to the pics, not seen a Steel Grey one.

Your key ring will come in post m8

Never get bored of MK6 pics, more the merrier...NOW GET BACK TO WORK!!!

Congratulations, hope you enjoy your new arrival
re: The Keyring
I sent VW a message asking where mine was, this was the reply:
"Thank you for your recent email regarding the keyring you require for your Golf Edition 35. Please accept my apologies for the
delay in my response.
I have liaised with our Sales Department and they have informed me that regrettably, we do not offer a key ring as part of the
Golf Edition 35 range. The only key rings we have in our range can be found on the weblink provided below.

I apologise that I am unable to be of any further assistance on this occasion.
Thank you for contacting Volkswagen UK."
Even though it's just a keyring I think it's a bit sh!t of them

Thanks, really happy with the purchase, looking forward to having a longer drive.
As you say, its only a keyring and not a massive deal although as previous ED35 customers recieved them it seems a little off to me. Some saucy BS has no doubt stolen them all and will be flogging on Ebay for £30 a go! ha

Glad to hear you got the ED35 you won't be disappointed
My mate at work has just got a red 5 door and after seeing my one...
He never got a Keyring either....
Maybe you need to start a keyring post..and shame VW...
-
When I picked mine up I showed my dealer that it was part of the std spec so they ordered me one there and then. It wasn't until about a month later that mine turned up from VW marketing. Speak to your dealer and then VW as it is std equipment.
-
Now then, I've been the cause of some immotive threads regarding the keyring and I still stand by the fact that why, when it's part of the spec should you roll over and say no problem, especially when it's still on the configurator! If we ordered a car and it came with different wheels and they gave you the 'the spec has changed' you'd have something to say! Oh dear, think I need to step down off my soap box!
Regardless, enjoy ya car and ask Santa for the keyring at chrimbo.
-
I agree....
I made such a fuss, I ended up with 2 bloody key rings in the end...
-
Give him one then, haha!
-
I hope your speaking about the key ring haha...
If he PM's me I might just give him one....
-
Nice!
-
I've just sent a screenshot and a demand for the keyring or a cheque for £29 to buy one from EBay
-
Good for you!
