Title: I know this will be hard to say but any ideas will help..
Post by: Nino on 24 July 2012, 10:15
Hey guys,

Heres the story, about a month ago i had a tiny bump on my front passenger side, damage was only done to the wing and suspension, I had the front passenger whole leg replaced (2nd hand part) brand new wishbone arm, brand new trackrod end and I then had all the tracking sorted.

Since the work was carried out all has been fine upto about 2 days ago I have noticed a Rattle noise coming from the wheel area of the passenger side of the car it sounds like something is loose, now I have had a look and I cannot see anything obviously loose, the noise isn't always there ether I notice it the most while travelling on a straight road at a steady speed the best way I can discribe the noise is a Fluttering rattling noise.

Any ideas on what this could be be guys? I rang the garage that did the work and they cannot look at it till next week and I need my car to get to work

Pull down on your anti roll bar as there might be play in the droplinks and it does not have to be a bumpy road but just in even and it can set them off

Is it like a tinny rattle ? Could be the brake disc rear cover on the disc

Kinda the rattle starts loud then gets quieter, that cover isit the small thin piece of metal at the back of the disc kinda resembles a heatshield of somekind?
