Hey all
I'm wanting to change my std headlight bulbs to led's...
My Q is what size led's do I need?
and are there different sizes of bulb in the headlights? i.e for high beam, sidelights ect ect...
Sorry peeps haven't got a clue on this sort of thing..
Thanks

I expect this subject has been discussed to death in previous threads I suggest you use the search. I am no expert but I guess you mean changing the bulbs to HID? In my previous MK5 & 6 I changed the std H7 bulbs for Osram Night Breakers which are a Xenon replacement. These cost about £25 for a pair and are the cheapest and easiest way to really improve the std headlight performance and give you a much whiter beam. If you want the bright white look with better performamce then HID is the way to go. I have no experience of this but there are plenty of kits available. Good luck.

HID's will be/are illegal unless in projector headlights i think.

Dipped beam - H7
Full beam - that horrible DRL bulb which their is no replacement for as far as I am aware.
Sidelights - 501 wedge ( expect bulb out errors with the LED ones )
Led sidelights:

Aftermarket hids h7r bulb ( designed to cut off and not blind ppl!)
and yes they are still illegal.
