It's arrived!!!.............at the dealers.
My brand new 3dr 1.4 (122) TSI 'Match'.
Got a call last Thursday to say it arrived at the dealership the day before & that I can collect it this week.
I'm picking it up tomorrow..anyway he sent a picture of my car - really chuffed, looks the business.
To say it's only 'Solid Black' it really looks deeper than it does on the VW website, almost verging on the Deep Black side.
Roll on tomorrow....it cant come quick enough!

Cheers guys.
It's my 1st Golf so really looking forward to it, makes a nice upgrade from a Corsa!
I've heard good thing about the TSI units so it should have a bit of 'poke' about it.
I know it's no GTI or GTD but it's a decent spec & it suits my needs.

Looks good...enjoy...

Hey that's great news fella, lovely weather to be picking up a new ride in....look forward to more pics!

Good luck with the pick up tomorrow

Enjoy it mate, I know you've been really looking forward to it!

You don't need a GTI/D to enjoy Golf ownership. I had a Match as a courtesy car when my Passat was having some warranty paintwork, and I thought is was a cracking car.
You'll need to keep on top of the detailing to keep it looking good, but i'm sure you'll do that. We'll expect lots of pictures once you have given it a good going over.

Collected my new beaut last Tuesday afternoon!
What a fantastic engine it has under it (1.4 TSI (122 bhp), pulls very well & quite torquey for such a smallish engine.
Very very pleased with it.
I was worried that upon collection it would be full of swirls, but the car was actually very well prepped (not a mark on it - spotless) even though I'd allowed the dealer to prep it.
Done 401 miles in it so far!

Thanks mate.
So for I've been very impressed with it, a great nippy wee thing - but still in the 'running in' process until around 1,000 miles.

Looks great that does pal, very smart indeed!

Nice motor any plans? :undecided:

Thanks. Nah just keeping it entirely standard (apart from my sill protectors which I stuck on this week.)

The black looks great, ake sure you get into some good cleaning habits to keep it looking fresh

Agreed, black is the best colour on a car. I am into the 'detailing' side of things so it will be kept looking tip-top.

Yea but not to often otherwise loads of swirls with it being black

Skoda Yeti exhaust tips needed there
Before

After

The best £24 you'll spend on it.

Link dubber for the lad?

Best bet is to go to a skoda dealer and ask for a set, they're £26 for the pair, part number . 5LO 071 910. Might be worth checking they'll fit the tsi though first.

Yeti tips would finish the back end off, mrs Ginge has them on her cab and they look mint. Simple mod, not a lot of money and look like a more expensive addition.

Just a few pics of my new Golf after I cleaned it.
