Title: spline sizes?

looking to buy a new steering wheel for my mk2 gti its an august 89 but i'm unsure about the spline sizes and when they changed from small to large, any one know.  :smiley:

I think it change around the begining of november 89'

think its

pre 90 spec = small spline
90 spec = large spline

not too sure myself :laugh:
