Post by: Stoo2k on 21 July 2012, 21:50
Hi people.
Im new to the vw scene. Not cars as i change them all the time and the ones i think i will keep i get on a forum. Obviously i like my new mk3 GTi 8v very much.
I have a couple of basic pics from when i bought it:

I have given i a good clean and polish today so will get some better pics up tomorrow. Everyone likes pictures.
The bonnet bra came straight off. Cant stand the things. Its done nothing but trap a load of water and caused the front of the bonnet to go very rusty. A few little dents and rust scabs and the front reflectors missing but nothing a bit of work can sort.

Speak to you all soon no doubt.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
As i said i would, here are some pictures after a clean.
Its a bit more obvious now what i want to sort out.
The keen eyed will noticed i missed polishing off the side of the bumper.
Is the rippling on the sill trim drivers side a common issue or has someone bodged this side on?
The bonnet as falling apart now because it had the stupid bonnet bra on. when i took it off to clean it there was a chrome strip. It looked a bit too chavy so that come off and pulled alot of paint  as well. For now till pay day it has black tape across the tip to just make it blen a bit better than having gapping bits of primer showing.
