Title: Some Ford paint to give away cheap
Post by: itavaltalainen on 21 July 2012, 18:03
Bought wrong paint for misses Ford Ka... Guy from Halfords said it would be one I need, saw after a few seconds of spraying it did not match...

It's a 300ml spray can of Ford Juice Green perlescent - colour code 3, G, 2790CM & PC8C. XSC number 2790

In case you need some it's yours for a fiver (includes postage).

So they've sold you the wrong colour and instead of taking it back you'd rather sell a ford green spray can on a vw site?

Already had the car primed where mrs hit a bollard, so sprayed the small area (<10 sq. cm) rather than leave it grey ;)
Bought the can two weeks before I actually got a chance to use it (not a lot of sunny days in britain this year :( )

Halfords are as good or bad as many other places...

Well, I now got correct colour mixed from a paint shop, cost about 12£ a can where halfords is 8£ (400ml) but tbh happy to pay that price because you know it will match and you can also ask how to go about painting the best way.

Gotta go down that route anyway since halfords and co don't carry VW "mystic blue", nor Ford's "electric green" (which seems to be the colour on every second Ford Ka I see on the road?!).

Next sunny day I'll go and fix a few small spots on my Golf (lucky it hasn't got many) and the wrong colour spots on mrs KA and lacquer it properly afterwards.
