Title: '06' Registration numbers

I know i'm a bit ahead here but does anyone know how I could buy an '06' number plate before they are released next march, or do i have to wait til then? 

Also, the reg I want spells out my name so is it likely to cost a fortune even though it is a brand new reg??

I doubt you can do anything yet but you could always ring the DVLA and ask them when they will be on general sale to the public. If it's an obvious name though they may well keep it back for auction or some reg place will buy it straight away. I've heard before that these companies have designated people that ring up DVLA when the new reg's are for sale to snap up all the obvious ones etc.  :undecided: Good luck though.  :smiley:

'Plates of any interest are normally retained by the DVLA and either sold at massive profit, or they sit on them before auctioning them (I waited nearly 6 years for mine to become available).

You realise this will need to go on a march 06 onwards car, or onto retention right?
