This has been going through my head was looking into dif engine on the mk4 i have the 1.8 20v non turbo and on the fact and figure it has 125bhp but the turbo version only has 150 bhp how is it such a small increase?

Even no it's only 25Bhp there's still abit of diffence out in the road, Iv driven 1.8s before. But I have a 1.8T. Abit of diffence mind. Plus anything with a turbo is a lot more tuneable... A lot more!!!

peak horsepower figures are pretty meaningless. you need to look at what rpm the peak is achieved and how long it is held in that area for (or average horsepower). that's how you figure out how fast a car is on the road

get the turbo and you'll forget the 1.8 :lipsrsealed:

This exactly
Plus the standard 1.8t isn't purely for performance otherwise it would be 180bhp+ like when remapped.
As said much more tuneable
