Can anyone recommend the best way to bring my trim back to life? Its faded badly.

Autoglym bumper care is worth a try or some people have used a hot air gun I believe.

meguiars tyre gel is the only thing i will use on mine now. its awesome. and instant.

WD40 does a good job with plastics, although the effects don't last very long. Heat gun works well but there is only so many times you can do that.

yeah i was told about a year ago by the bloke in my local motor shop.
he said just use a sponge and rub it over. i tried it with a cloth but sponge works much better.
have never used anything els since and never will as it works so good. and good on your tyres aswell :grin:
it also give is a nice shine and it glistens in the sun and instantly gets rid of any dried wax so best to di it as the last thing you do after you rub the wax off your paint. :wink:

+1 for heatgun. I have found any sort of gel or anything attracts bugs and general crap. Done mine about 4 weeks ago and hasn't faded one bit!!

Heat gun is the only thing I have not attempted also - Giving it a whirl this weekend.

I have used a heat gun In The past. Works very well with quick results but be careful not to melt your bumper :wink:

Yes. I tried on my splitter first to text it as at least you can replace that easily if it went wrong, but you'll get the idea soon enough and it's an easy enough process.
I then finished it off with some bumper care just to give it a nice shine and deepen the black even more.

i use cheap tyre shine from halfords, works a treat, when i can be bothered that is :grin:

thinking of doing this as well. did you cover the painted bodywork areas that are close to the trim or just go for it as it is? just worried about defecting the paintwork..

Turtle Wax Tyre Gel - seems to be the only one that lasts for more than 3-4 days :)
