just out of interest i'm wondering how many of you have your car lowered and still carry around a spare wheel? i am but then i can't see the point as my cars to low for the jack to fit so i can only assume if i needed a spare it be there laughing at me in the pissing rain eh!
so iv taken it out and replaced it with a can of tyre weld. i know its a temp use but got to be better than nothing right?
(touch wood i don't get a puncher any time soon :-/ )

i assume your jack fits under your car? or you talking about the can? unless your taking wood around with you to help clear some space for the jack :grin:

Your jack fits with a inflated tyre. With a flat tyre my seal would be touching the floor :laugh:
I got free AA with my bank so I'll just let them know I need some help

I carry a space saverl, a small peice of 2 x 4 and a wee trolley jack. My sills are too good to jack up on :grin:

Yeah that chock of wood is a life saver!!... but the standard widow maker is usually fine for clearence

Mine are fooked! :-/ mines a space saver to maybe i should of put the wood in the car to instead of getting one of these tyre things in a can. we shall see.

Yes always carry a spare plus check the pressure every few weeks.

I got stainless bolt on valves and they hold pressure for months. I checked them after 6 months and they only lost 2psi :laugh:

Even with doing low miles I still check all the levels and tyre pressures every 2 weeks.

I carry a wooden wedge to drive the car up so that a trolley jack will go under but due to my boot build my spare space saver lives in the shed. As said thats why I pay the RAC and if I am local my missus will bring me the wheel and trolley jack :grin:

I carry tyre mousse and an AA membership card, it saves my lugging around weight :smiley:

carry a full size spare with a new! tyre. never know could come in handy on long journeys in continental europe.
if you can't change your own tyre..you shouldn't be driving...:)

Nothing to do with cant change the wheel as I have changed thousands when working for Green Flag and could change a wheel in very quick time. I just dont carry mine because of my boot build and the fact mine is just too low to get the jack under and will not be carrying a trolley jack round all the time.

Iv got my dad on speed dail cheaper than AA or RAC will come out day or night :laugh:
Have a small jack but do not like using is as thay are s@it and unsafe plus I hate jacking from the sill only do it of I have to and thats not very often

i carry the tyre weld.
but found out when i tried to get a tow back from the channel tunnel to my house ( south wales)
that because i didnt carry the spare wheel they wouldnt take me, even though i said that i can carry the tyre weld and be fine they still wouldnt (i had two blown tyres so!)
iv got a wind up jack and wood in the car, but if i need to get the jack under i just go pffffffffffttt up it goes!
