When I turn travel mode "on" the little yellow bulb light flashes on my dash does this mean its on and will it flash the whole time in driving abroad! (Hope Not) or is there a problem?

I think it only flashes when the lights are moving to the new position. It should go out when they have stopped.

I went to France and Italy, via Switzerland back in May and had my xenons set to travel mode. The yellow light came on each time I started the engine, I guess as a reminder that the headlight were now pointing in a different direction that standard ie RHD car now set up as LHD.
Hope this helps.. :)

thats great new thanks guys!! :) how was the drive?

Great fun. I couldn't believe the length of the tunnels in Switzerland, longest one I went through being 10 miles long. Strange driving through a tunnel that long with no daylight etc.

Would I be right in thinking that the travel mode for the headlights is for cars fitted with Xenons only ?

Yes mate, as the xenons have the adaptive feature meaning they can move left and right as well as up and down, they can point slightly to the right and down for driving on the continent.

Travel mode is great and a really nice feature that can be changed from the DIS and MFSW. I am in France on my second trip with my ED35 and loving it's relaxed cruising ability and cross country pace. Mine has done 7500 miles now and is really flying. Down in Provence this week and enjoying the 30c and wall to wall sunshine. Not missing the rain in the uk.
