Title: Qucik fix possible?? Suggestions

My Mk3's gearbox now makes such a hidous clonking in reverse I need to do something about it.

I guess its a bust tooth on the gear but anyone know of anything I can do to quiten it down, other than replace the box?

Old, old remedies would be sawdust or pack it with grease.

But not really recommended for modern boxes!

Replace it mate!

Just a thought, how do i check / top up the gearbox oil on mine??
