Title: My old mans Volvo XC60
Post by: Jimble on 15 July 2012, 19:51
As some of you will know i've been asking a few questions of late about what to buy to see if i could sort the shocking paint on my dads Volvo, the body shop at the dealers made a complete mess of it trying to get some white gloss paint specks off it which turns out to be from when they had their storage canopy painted.

Anyway, i gave it a go today and thought i'd post some pics from the day, i'm gutted i didn't do any 50/50 shots but i was concentrating on not fookin it up!

Before, looking a bit sorry for itself.

Grubby wheels.

You can see some of the paint damage here.

And some more.

Faded trim from polish that won't come off, getting some C4 for this.

Some quite severe buffer trails.

This was typical of each panel after washing.

All washed and clayed and dried ready for taping up.

Some shots of the task in hand after washing and claying.

All taped up ready to rock!

Unfortunately as i'm new to all this machine stuff i didn't take and during polishing but a couple of afters.
