Title: New Flicky Keys
Post by: ashw831 on 15 July 2012, 10:31
My golf has got both flicky keys, but one has got a dead battery and they are both a bit "tired" (the white has worn off and the badges are peeling). I can remember seeing a guide to doing new ones on here some where but I cannot for the life of me find it, does any one know where it is, or alternatively, know how to set up a new key?

Thanks

The link doesn`t mention about removing the transponder for the immobiliser, i forgot this when I did mine and wondered why it would not start, very small and made of glass so careful when you remove it. The cheap ebay cases are not an exact fit but a bit of uhu glue or blue tak holds the transponder in place.

Keep the originals, change the battery and tip-ex the white.
