£57 x 8hrs remove and 5hrs to refit. does this sound ok?
so thats 14hrs at 57 quid an hour

Confusion is there

8 + 5 = 13 not 14   so 13 hour is £741 but 14 hours is £798

god i hope they dont lol

I will be providing the oil, coolant, dot4 and all the air con was removed by the previous owner. i was going for a anni look 4motion 1.8t but my plans changed due to me buying a t5. so i had the engine overhauled instead (uprated rods, bottom end bearings, new gaskets, sensors, valve seals, pullys, cambelt, thermostat) and giving it the mrs for her birthday.

How long? :o

I can have one out in about a hour and have one put in and running properly + fully bled up + driviable in around 3 hours in a ibiza.  Even easier in a golf!

A few people are saying do it yourself but if you have little knowledge about what you're doing, no garage/space or the tools and time for the job it's going to cost a decent amount of money anyway and you may end up leaving it for weeks on end because you simply don't have the time or motivation to do it so you may as well just pay someone else if you feel more comfortable doing so.

Sounds like you should pull an all nighter with some of the people from here and give them some tokens

as for space, the local NCP will be fine

There was a post on here of someone working in an underground car park with a car in pieces

Haha, somehow might be a bit more than that.  Conversions need extra work like brakes, shafts and looms, not a unplug everything and bolt all back up.

Ive done loads of conversions now and once you know what you doing, easy work.  I could do a 1.4-20v conversion on a golf mk4/bora in a day working hard.  Really isnt that much work.

Which is what he is paying for. So whay say it can easily be done in much less time?

I thought he said 8 hours removal and 5 to refit?  Thats 13hours.  Working days are nearer to 8 hours (which is what I could do a conversion in.)

Does their 13hours include uprating of brakes, exhaust and swapping looms and clocks over?
