I wouldn't trust an impact gun full stop for wheel bolts, you should always check them by hand afterwards.

I wouldn't trust an impact gun full stop for wheel bolts, you should always check them by hand afterwards.
With a torque wrench. Impact guns (and my 4' 10" Aunt) can generate enough torque to strip threads.

115 N/m on alloy wheels - no more.

Post by: stainesy on 15 July 2012, 10:35: i stick the wheel bolt wrench on them and do them up propper tight by hand. would never use and impact gun to do them up only use mine to undo stuff.
