I have the standard 1 earpiece headset/mic combo, and a normal stereo headset which I wear when not playing in a BF3 squad etc..
Now, if I'm using the standard xbox headset I can only hear the game effects through one ear via TV speakers, and the squad chat via the headset. This makes locating enemies etc.. a bit difficult.
Now, is there a set up, where I can get a full headset/mic combo where I can listen to the effects and squad chat at the same time, overlayed.
You get me?
Thanks.
Jonathan.

The turtle beach head sets are great. I think they only cost about £15 too.

As above, turtle beach will be your best best. I have wireless X41's which have digital input for a replicated 7.1 surround sound, although its not proper surround as there aren't 3 or 4 speakers in each earpiece. I think they were £80. Wireless saves on leads trailing across the place but has its limitations mind you, read here:

The only time you connect a lead into this headset is when you want to chat. It connects to the controller. The chat audio volume is adjustable on this lead, as is mic on/off. The headset will automatically alter the chat volume on-the-fly depending on the game audio volume at any given time i.e.: lots of explosions = louder chat volume.
Its all i use now with battlefield... you can hear them coming :lipsrsealed:

As per my 1st link, when the base unit is on, my phone wont connect to WIFI
Also if base unit is less than 1 metre from the wireless router, you get interference in the headset (although mine is about 5m away so no problem)

In fact they now offer the X42 (runs on 2.4ghz and 5ghz) which prevents interference with wifi.
a lot more money though!
