And the sad old exhaust that gave me back as a spare.

You would not think it could be so refined on the motorway without the silencers - but its just a quiet as before.  It makes a nice sound when you put your foot down.  It make as nice burble when you turn the engine off.  The guys at Piper were disappointed it was not louder.  However, I'm very happy!

Thanks for the positive comments.   I'll get a video done over the weekend.

Don't worry - nothing is wonky on her...

I have not noticed an increase in power.  To really push the power up you'd need a turbo back with sports CAT, with the associated remap so the turbo can cope with the extra air flow.  They were looking into making a turbo back but I'm not ready to go that far on my newish car!  I'd bet it would be incredible...

From the write up its a straight through pipe no boxes or even a cherry bomb section from cat back.  :undecided:

Will it still pass MOT emissions like that?

It's still got the cat/dpf, so nothing will have changed other than the lack of silencers.

I'm not too keen on the "Y" tailpipe. When you look inside it looks like a fake. Maybe it'll be less noticable when it's sooted up.

True - Cat and DPF still the same so it's emissions are the same.   The Cat and DPF are next to the engine so they warm up quickly.  The pipe now has a 3'' from the CAT back so a much bigger pipe for that section.  I was shocked how little these silencers do.  They said they could put one in, but what is the point!  On the motorway I could only hear the tyres.

They have also produced a 10 degree cut pipe 'Tail-Pipe' so it matches the slope back of the car, rather than this inwardly rolled pipe.  They were open to other suggestions but I wanted it to look kinda 'original'.

I'll get a video done if it ever stops raining.....

did they not use silicon on the slip joints? i always smear a bit on stainless exhausts as they can leak a bit.

it will probably coke up quick being a diesel though so maybe not required on your car.
