Title: Ed35 bodywork and some great customer service
Post by: wigit on 13 July 2012, 16:09
well seams the Ed35 bodywork has become a bit of a magnet of late, picked up a stone chip on its way to be detailed and Nath at DMR pointed me to a parking ding (which i reckon M40 services northbound at Warwick) and some scratches to the boot

Nath at DMR worked his magic with his dent man on the door, touch up ordered for stone chip and lessoned the rear boot ones a bit having removed the GTI badge

been felt out working in london so decided to go to Ridgeway Group's Bodyshop in Newbury (or as i say Thatcham) which was a 30 miler each way but in reality Ed35 has not moved for a week so needed a run

workshop manager comes out and looks at car and says he think it will polish out, brings over technician and agrees and then says pull it in we will do it now, 15 minutes later boot starches removed, nice chat over the modifications and they say they won't charge me as i'm a Ridgeway customer, result

unfortunately on the mk6 now they don't give you a template for sticking the rear GTI back on so their may be a post for dimensions soon, all be it i'm liking it without and just the 35

cheered me up on Friday 13th and meant not another trip down, i'll post some pics following its detail, having endured the M4 fiasco and a 500 TA for a week it was nice to get behind the wheel of the Eddie
