Title: ISIT POSSIBLE TO PUT A G60 SUPERCHARGER AND ECU TO A STANDARD 2.0 8V GTI???????

i no the g60 is a 1.9 8v supercharged so curios to know if its possible to add a charger to a gti 8v if so what else would need doing?? cheers guys

Easier to do the fall engine conversion than bolting on a charger.

Do a search in the dub rides. There's a guy that I've forgotten his name who did the swap

G60's are 1.8 8v's, but look out for Corrado's being broken. You need a G60 inlet as the inlet is on the passenger side, you'll need all the pipework and Corrado's had an intercooler mounted behind the bumper in front of the passenger wheel. Do a G60 search on Ebay to get an idea on parts available.

I wouldn't bother, for what it cost go 1.8t
Better engine, easier to tune and faster

The one that was done on here just looked so slow in the video he posted up yet calmed something daft like 250 odd BHP lol

or you could do the m45 or m60 (i think) charger from the mini or merc. But in my op, id stick with what the lads are saying on here. You could achieve nearly 200 horses with just a remap and a fmic and other minor mods. With the charger you will have to get it serviced every 40-50k & cost more than a turbs. Think you will have plenty of laughs with the 1.8t aswel.
