Awesome do a pipercross one £147

The filter is enclosed and so it only sucks air in from the front grill, far better and neater than having a metal heat shield in the engine bay...
-
Or just keep your airbox with a decent filter and add the R32 DSG parts
-
Someone on here had a champagne bucket as a heat shield and that seemed to work

R-tech do there own kit for the 1.8T with heat shield if I recall, looks similar to what I've seen on the TFSI engines on the S3 and LCR
-
The heat shields are available on ebay for around £25
-

-

-
Is that the one that goes behind the front bumper?
I have had one and found the filter too close to the floor for my liking, some people trim an inch or two off the bottom, but you dont get anymore gains from having a cone in the engine bay :lipsrsealed:
-
bought one from ebay and the hole is not round and too small. pipercross cone filter doesnt fit. gonna have to bodge the hoel

It should do, all you do is bolt the maf to it.
I ran a pipercross filter all ok.

What size filter did you get, this was mine, all I needed to do was drill 2 holes and bolt the maf to it.
