Title: G60 Engine Problems, My G60 has boiled & now it's running bad

Hi help !!!!!!,

I think I have a problem which I need some help with. I've just been for a ride out on Mk II G60 (it's a Corrado engine conversion)  .

I drove the car for about 10 miles with no problems 
I overtook a car and then went over a roundabout after coming off the roadabout I noticed the car has hardly any acceleration and the engine sounded really noisy.   :cry:

I got back to my house about 2 miles more and pulled the bonnet to find the cooling hoses were rock solid and the engine was very very hot. !!!!!

I let the pressure off of the expansion tank and the coolant and steam leaked out. I think it's actually split the expansion tank !!!!!!!!

I'm going to check the engine compressions tomorrow when it's cooled down. I just hope the noise is not the crankshaft but the camshaft ??

Any ideas or thoughts ???

tbh u need to flush all coolant and run your pressure test.... ensure u bleed the coolant system and get all air out, i would be suprised if the head gasket has gone but u will see.... just process of emlimination m8 thats all you can do but let me know how u get on.
