i hope you kicked the sh!t out of him!!

sorry to hear that mate, i think when you try harder to stop something, it just makes it worse, how much is your excess, how much damage (£).
-
excess it 350, but was well shocked just had a call from a company representing his insurance asking to tke over, even cough up my excess before hand so im not out of pocket.
Though, i want the work carried out by VW took the car to them yesterday but they said VW isnt our preferred repairer. I said well if i had a f reg citreon like the guy who it me i wouldnt mind, but the car is brand new :(
As for damage new bumper, reg plate, is all it appears to be. He lost his front bumper, wing light :o. Shows how well they are made :D

bad luck mate
contact citizens advice or someone to find out if you have to use your ins comps approved repairer. I'm not sure you have to .

Thats bad news- hope you get it sorted soon and the insurance company doesnt drag its feet too much- I'd insist on a VW dealer looking after it though. When you go to sell the car some day it will be worth it to be able to say it was repaired by a dealer, or at least that a dealer was reponsible for the repair.

well VW are doin the work now, but since me last post and now had a new windscreen fitted.
Bit of advice for GTI owners, get a VW screen, yes it will cost you more, my company Direct Line gives 125 after the excess if you dont use their company.
VW wanted 300 bucks to fit it. So i opted for Autoglass, slight prob, new screen has a green tint like most windscreens. New gtis have a blue tint all around. Called autoglass, they dont do a blue tint anyway :(
Well thats bumper and windscreen, and everyone keeps saying they always come in threes.

i heard that sneezing whilst driving and then stacking the eprson who sneezed isn't responsable as it is an involunteery action and couldn't be helped no matter what you do.... :undecided:
