Title: epc/ stalling problem 1.8t
Post by: chloe gti on 08 July 2012, 20:16
hi all. having a problem with my 1.8t gti, the car stalls when coming up to a junction, or to a set of lights when the car is allowed to return to idle with the clutch depressed. The car then stalls. when you then crank it over it sounds very laboured to do so and then the epc light stays on on the rev counter. then the car has a very fast idle 1200rpm and when you accelerate hard the car cuts the revs at 4k. when turned off and left for half hour or so it seems to reset itself and return to normal until it stalls again.

any ideas as its doing my head and my husbands head in as to what it could be?
