Title: inner roof retrim

the roof of my golf is really dirty with oil and dirty hand marks...i want it retrimming in like dark grey does anyone do it?

Something you could do yourself think some people have sprayed theirs black but take out of car obviously. Failing that try mj interiors who are in Shipley I believe.

Try a good APC with a decent interior brush first. If that fails, a retrim from a pro is you only option if you want it looking as good as original. Alot of people are happy with a decent DIY retrim using some form of fabric with a decent adhesive, (you'll still need to remove the headlining to do it), but imo, this very very rarely comes out anything like half decent.

I did a mk2 roof lining a few years ago and my bora one last year, it's a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad. Fabric will cost about £30 depending what you get but you need it to be stretchy.
