is the idle rough? i.e bouncing around between maybe 1050-1100 or something?
could be dirty tb? or maf?

As said. Should be about that for 90 seconds or so. My gauge sits at just under 800rpm when warm.

mine makes a wooshing noise on start up like a jet and ticks over about a 1000 revs and goes on for around a min and then drops down to 800 revs and ticks over nicely, thought it sounded quite strange when i first started it from cold when i bought it only found out from reading on here its normal for the strange noises, hmmm auto choke didnt we have them on old cars that used carbs are thay not called cold start valves on fuel injected cars pmsl

as i understand it there shouldnt be any issues, and you can drive away whilst its still "warm revving" as my mech put it otherwise your burning fuel?

dont know if this is stricktly true?  :undecided:
