Title: Another Cambelt Query?!
Post by: Xtrhardcore on 06 July 2012, 13:07
Afternoon Petrol heads,

Will be changing my Belt next month, is it best to do belt and pump, or actually get the kit and change everything and pump? How prone to failure are the other componants?
Cars a N/A GTi with 148k on the clock

check the hydraulic damper/tensioner too, they are about £70 for a genuine part, maybe cheaper from GSF. Not worth the risk IMO
