Are the LED rear lights really going for this sort of price??

Hmmm! In the ad it says the lights will only fit a 3dr mode! Huh!! :undecided:
Why's that then?
-
They no different between the two I take it??
-
"One Light does have a small crack going Through about an Inch Long Nothing Major."
Pretty major if your expected to pay £400 I'd say.
-
I was thinking £400 was a hell of a lot of money to be paying for a light with a small crack. Just didnt realise they would go for this much, or should I say someone is foolish enough to pay that much!!
-
No way I would pay £400 for these lights...even if they fitted a ten door motor.....
-
I think I paid just over £400 for mine.... but as everyone is after them I sold them for about the same. only cost me £30-40 for the pleasure of the best mod

Might just give them a miss with the price they are asking, much better way of spending £400 on the car!!

If you do a few seaches I know quite a few people have posted what they paid for them. Most dealers will do asdeal on them, if not try.a TPS trade counter. Iirc 450 was the average about a year ago.
Those on eBay are damaged and imho not worth that.
-
Im going to speak to my contact at VW and see what kinda price I would be talking, if they are still a lot of money then Ill be leaving it for the time.
-
Brand new price is £520.
I can get them for £400 new as the parts manager is a family friend.
Those on eBay are way over priced.
Second hand should e £300-350 depending upon condition IMHO.
-
I paid £430 for mine from a dealer with 15% discount, i was quite happy with this as i know i'll be able to sell them for between £300 and £350 easy!
Those on ebay are from Smethwick so are more than likely from one of our ethnic bretherin! Innit?
-
This is an expensive mod, but worth doing as they look so much nicer.
Do you still need to buy a conversion harness for the wiring, or does this come with the lights from the dealer?
-
You still need the adapter cables, i got mine from german ebay.
-
Thanks for confirming
-
I would prefer to spend my money on a remap and some new brake pads!!
-
Rear LED's are one of the best mods. Go for it. Have a word with your dealer to see if you can get some discount.
-
That price is about right.. Undamaged. And they fit a 2012 R32. Thats why they are so much.

There's no such thing as a 2012 R32. Aren't the rear light clusters on the MK5 a different size/shape to the MK6 anyway? I don't see how those will fit an R32 if they're off a MK6.
Also don't understand why it states 3 door only.

That was my point.. Not a very informed seller.

Might be worth someone who's interested in a group buy for these to start a thread in the Bargain Hunter Section - Group Buys and then post a link to it in here to see what interest there is....just a thort!!
