Hey all, just a quick question.
Has anyone done a trip through France? I'm currently in a hotel in nantes and am heading back north to dunkirk for my ferry on Friday night.
Money is running low now so am thinking of camping or finding a hostel tomorrow night but still have a bit of time to visit somewhere in the northern area of the country.
We are thiking of versaille?
Anyone been or have any recommendations?
Unfortunately I'm driving a clio instead of the zr but will post pictures when we get back.
Thanks.

I should also explain that I'd like some busyness and nightlife as France has been pretty boring so far.

Good suggestions actually. France seems a bit crap. Still had a good time though and have found a nice place called honfleur for tonight.

France is great, I spent two weeks in the Ardeche at the beggining of June, they had their free summer rave while i was out there which was shaking the windows from 5km away
Helps that the misses is a frog so i dont get the usual rude treatment English tourists normally get
The south is the place to go as its hot and relaxed and not cold and wet like the north & full of attitude.

honfleur is a really lovely place, well, it was last time i was there in the 90's! used to love the shrimps they sell in the market.
France has never been to me the party capital of Europe... but its great for chilling out and enjoying the scenery and food
you could try Le Touquet on your way back up.. thats quite a big seaside town where all the Parisiens go.
alternatively there is Montreuil which is quite a nice market town on top of a hill (but again pretty quiet)
