ok is it better geting ko3s or going down the ko4 as i no the price of parts for the ko4 is a lot and  is alot more work and you need alot of £££££££
i will need to get a list of wot i need for both turbos

K03s with saab red injectors, good turbo back exhuast, silicone turbo intake pipe, a good filter with no boost issues and good maf should see 230bhp plus easily.

Then youl need other supporting mods such as forge actuator to hold the boost,
A good intercooler to keep temps low and improve torque(ths frount mount, ebay special etc),
Maybe bigger maf such as VR6 (3inch)
A nice catch can to replace the sh!tty pcv system,

The above should see a nice torque figure and around 240bhp plus on a k03s after a good remap by a good reputable tuner.

K04 is big bucks and look at toby's build thread.

k03 will see 210 in a very aggressive setup, but typically 190-200
K03s will see a happy 225-230 and with a few upgrades it will see upto 245
k04 will see you 260~

K04-001 - k03s/k04 hybrid , uses some K04 internals and a K03s housing, sure its a direct bolt on without having to mess about with oil lines etc

Depends on the manifold, on ours we need the long nose injectors like this

the saab reds will over fuel, calibra yellows are the ones you need.

Post by: DunnDeal12 on 04 July 2012, 12:32
yes they will

Post by: jamie1989 on 04 July 2012, 12:45
I might go for them instead then, be better for stage 2 on my AGU.
I just need to source a THS intercooler now.

Calibra yellows will fit AGU manifolds

what about ARZ  :undecided:
Title: Re: ko3 turbo
Post by: DunnDeal12 on 04 July 2012, 15:19
is it a large port head?
Title: Re: ko3 turbo
Post by: rio_gti on 04 July 2012, 15:21
Nope small ports red tops can't be used

correct ARZ is kinda a bum engine code small port head, small turbo so i dont think the gains will be as good as a AGU ko3s you could try mk1 225 TT, S3 or LCR injectors.

Don't know off I'm being helmet by stickin a k04 on my ARZ  :undecided:

My arz k03s runs 233 bhp on standard injectors and standard cat back exhaust

Post by: Wazzzer on 04 July 2012, 17:47
standard AGU injectors don't flow as much as standard ARZ/AUM/AUQ injectors :nerd:

Dalo no you need the S3 injectors. Though you'll probably be ok with standard ones up to around the 220bhp mark

Well I'm hoping to get over that, K03s is going on as is the THS FMIC within the next month or so, aswell as the TIP
3'' MAF, forge actuator on the K03s plus the mods in my sig

dalo harkin with you having the small port head why dont you put the s3 inlet manifold on yours with the throttle body on the passanger side and get a s3 or lcr FMIC from toyo sports as there alot easier to fit. will work out cheaper than the THS FMIC.

See I was thinkin about puttin different inlet manifold on but still has the small ports on the actual block do figured it would be a waste  :undecided:

its a cheaper option on the small port as the forge/THS intercoolers cost alot of £££. the inter cooler comes to about £200, LCR/S3/TT inlet manifold £50, LCR/S3/TT charge pipe £40.

sounds like a plan but for all the messing I would rather just get the S3 injectors not wrong about the THS cooler though £500 and its not even here yet

Calibra yellows will be the wrong impedance for your ECU too
