i bought a mk3 gti 8v about a month or so ago and it has got an old clifford alarm installed. it doesnt do any of the central locking (which doesnt actually work) or anything, just a simple alarm as far as i can see, although i dont actually use it. on my dash they have fitted two of the blanks with wire ends off the alarm. one is just a red flashing light, the other is connected by another black wire. i have no idea what this does as theres end to it on the dash if you get me, just looks like a little end bit or sticker has fallen off, but whats the wire for in that case? so just wondered what this could be for?
secondly from the alarm itself there is a white wire that has been chopped and is just dangling around and isnt connected to anything? what could this be used for?
and also from the alarm there is some kinda little switch wired up under the dash in the footwell. i have no idea what this does either and never seen anything like it before?! i have tried flicking it both ways but doesnt seem to do anything?
