Yello.
So it looks like I`m going to have to sell the GTD
Really dont want to, but 2 Great Danes just dont fit in the boot and I cant afford to have a car JUST for the dogs.
Any-road-up, just spent my lunch seraching for the original coding from when I added the R LED rear lights and cant seem to find it anywhere. I did write down how it was when I fitted them, but cant find it now.
Can anyone help, please?
Car is an early (registered Feb) 2010 GTD with halogen headlights if that helps any.
Cheers
Dan.

Oh sad times Dan , im sure someone can help you's out!!

Can't you just get a very cheap car or a little van for the dogs. My father-in-law has had a banger for taking his 3 red setters in for years. He does around 6,000 miles a year taking the dogs to the beach or woods twice a day and reckons the mileage saved on his "proper" car, pay to run the dogmobile.
If the GTD has to go, will your LED's be up for sale?
-
He-he, yes the LEDs will be up for sale, sooner rather than later, already had one email asking about them too, and I need the money for removing the map and switching the reg over.
Already have the dogmobile, its a Caddy maxi life, so staying with dubs for it, had it for about 6 months and was doing fine affording both, but all of a sudden the finances have crept up on me and everything seems to be costing twice as much.
Not happy about it, but needs must.

Make that 2

Aye, received
I`ll let everyone know when I have them off and have decided on a price, could be this weekend if I can get the coding info.
-
Don't sell your car...buy a trailer....

I would like to know this too, i never thought to make a note when Craig and i fitted them. :embarassed: and need to know for future reference.

I am pretty sure the coding for Halogen front/standard rear is 02
HERE (http://www.thewindinglane.co.uk/images/mk6gti/lights/Byte18.pdf) is a pdf of all the options
VW360 is the Golf..
RDW is rest of the world
TFL_0_LED is LED DRLs
TFL_0 is Standard Bulb DRLs
LED_SBBR is rear LEDs
eg. VW360 GTI Halogen "VW360 RdW TFL_0_LED + LED_SBBR" would be
Golf with Halogen HEadlights
Area is rest of the world,
LED DRLs
LED rears.

That's like the can sheets I have as a list at work.
As clear as mud unless you know what it all meens.

Try this Dan (from Glen's thread)

Standard Xenon coding - I think!
Off - Xenons as DRLs, no rear lights on.
Auto - Xenons as DRLs, no rear lights on.
Sidelights - sidelights on, no Xenons, inner and outer standard rears.
On - sidelights + Xenons on, inner + outer standard rears, foglight OK, brake lights OK, no bulb warning.

Yes it's a bit mad, not helped by the same thing twice on each line.
I added a bit more of what I think on the other post.

was not comenting just an observation as I work with
CAN data transfer daily.
It was a very helpful post I just need to see if my codings right by it now.
2010 xenons + rear LEDs. But will wait till I'm on the computer to go through the list.

I would recomend to never copy someone's complete coding.
00 is a cover digit hiding the actual number. Until about a year ago vw hid the actual coding like this.

Ah didn't realise :embarassed:

Hi guys, thanks for the info, I`ll let y`all know how I get on at the weekend.
For all who are interested in my LEDs, I will reply to all the PMs when they`re off, I`m thinking about £350 for the full set with the cables too, the post wasnt really about trying to sell them
-
I just removed the LED tails from my 2009 118TSI and put them on my new GTI. Byte 18 has a drop down box that has one of the options of light reset. I just selected that and all the error messages went away and the standard lights all worked fine.
-
Oh cool !
Thanks Ozram
