ok, so the idle has happened twice, and the cutting out once.
but yesterday i set off from work, and at the first junction dipped the clutch and the revs dropped to 500rpm. i had to rev it hard to come back. i turned the ignition off and it started perfectly. this repeated at the next junction. for the rest of the journey it was perfect. this was with a green spring fited in the 008.
the same happened this morning. now yellow spring fitted.
then, when the car had warmed up (testing new forge 008 and what spring to use) i did a 3rd gear WOT run. at 5k the ignition cut out. started again fine.
the car is fully serviced, and has a st1 map from MVW. diagnostics when the map was done showed the car was healthy. no fault codes apart from the coolant temp sensor. but i had unplugged this when changing the pcv hoses. i have now refiitted the green spring with 2 shims. i felt the yellow was too much anyway.
im confident there is no boost leaks. performance seems fine. i wa low on fuel. light came on 3 miles later.
any help would be great guys

here is what i got with vcds lite
18010 power supplu terminal 30. voltage too low p1602 35.10 intrermittant
battery disconnect? i did remove the battery when fitting a new airbox snorkel!
00290 abs rear speed sensor rear left g46 04 10 mechanical misfunction intermittant
002870 rear right speed sensor
it appears the rear abs is playing up?
may this be after the rolling road? we never cleared the faults? i remember seeing the abs light on the dash but it cleared
any ideas chaps?

Yeah the system will clear the lights but not the codes after a rolling road session; basically its recognised the fact the front wheels were turning whilst the rears were sat still :nerd:
Equally clear the codes and make sure they dont return  if they do then you know you have a problem
-
So as I know what these codes are, there aren't actually any codes thrown up.
So where does this leave me? Would the ignition amp be a possibility. I know these don't show codes
-
I would say either a split breather hose or ignition amp. Check your hoses first though as it's free
If you know someone with an AGU swap your airbox lids and ignition amps to rule it out
-
Are we talking all boost and pcv hoses? Is there an easy way to check?(sounds stupid)
-
if you're dropping in to grab that spare ignition amp i can chuck the smoke tester on, only takes 5 minutes

I wish you lived closer Toph
