I think its great that they are advising people on their picture settings... but simply changing the mode is not enough in my opinion.

My tv does it automatically depending on the type of program you are watching (only works with some shows)... but even then a little tweaking helps

I always tweak audio and visual settings but will have a butchers at what's recommended tonight.

It's usually on Cinema or standard for normal TV and Gaming for ze Eggbox. Vivid is ridiculous as pointed out and should only be used when in 'Sales' mode, if at all.
