Title: airbag light staying on. Mk4 wheel.
Post by: tweed on 30 June 2012, 15:02
changed wheels and now the airbag light is staying on.

I did leave battery connected if that makes a difference. Can't see why it would though.

anyone had this problem? Couldn't see anything in the search.

help me  I hate having problems

Clear the code and it should be fine, it will be because you left the battery connected.

Cool will have to take it somewhere. I've took the battery out to charge overnight hopefully it will go when I put it back in, doubt it though

Sod disconnecting the airbag whilst it's still connected to the battery.

Knocked that fireman on his a$$! Don't appreciate how powerful air bags are as they are a "safety" feature

Glad it went okay mate, I found a little bit of tweaking with the 3 screws attaching to the back was needed but overall simple enough.

Mind you, f**k not having the battery disconnected, the thought of it going off in my face scares the sh!t out of me.

I've fitted a mk4 wheel in mine, only problem is that every now and again the horn will go off randomly when turning the wheel. Any ideas?
