is it possible to put a mk5 cd player in the mk4 golf?

owts possiable but im gonna say its gonna be super hard. mk5s have can bus dont they? and it all runs through the raido as silly as it may sound. a mate of mine put a after market radio in his mk5 and the obd port wouldnt work lol no comunication to nothing! put standard radio back in it works. and mk4s dont have can bus i think.  dont want a mk5 raido anyways just go get a nice double din thingy :)

didnt know that it all ran through the head unit though.

and agreed with the above post, would be much more hassel than its worth. get a decent aftermarket one, chances are the amount youde spend getting a mk5 head unit to work in a mk4 you could proberbly get a cracking aftermarket head unit
