Hello peeps.
Basicly had her VagCommed today. As the Engine Managment light came on the other week. Car drives perfect still.
A fault came up and I can't really remember what it was. But I been quoted 137quid including VAT for a Bosch part. It's sumit to do with the Air Sensor and fuel sensor or sumit. I don't have a clue. It's not the mass sensor. Matey boy said it was out the way of eyes sight near the trubo or sumit.
I have a 2002 1.8T AUM.
Something to to with the ratios or sumit. As mine was something like 1.500 and it should be something like 0.800. I dunno if I'm Makeing any sense at all haha.
I just want to no what this faulty part is called so I can get prices else were. As 138quod for sum little sensor valve thingy seems a lot
Cheers chaps

You really need to find out what the code was first and we might be able to help a bit more. There aren't any sensors down that way IIRC, let alone ones that cost £130. Also your MAF controls the air and fuel ratios, nothing else...

Sounds like lambda sensor By what you said
-
I'm a dumb ass... if it is lambda they're not that hard to change and can be had for around £80 for a genuine Bosch item
Looking at your description is sounds like lambda and the ratios being CO2 emissions. You need to find out if it was the pre or post cat lambda though
-
Pre cat as it's near the turbo out of sight :lipsrsealed:
wazzer you gonna agree again
-
maybe, it's not out of sight from underneath though

I'm not that short that i can take a stroll under my car and look up

Yea I'll ring matey up and get the cOde of him. Will post up again when I have got it. Cheers for ya help

check the breathers under the inlet manifold.
I lived with this problem for over a year, changed maf, lambda etc.
If you have parts of the bay covered in dirty gritty dy oil, then you probably have a breather out somewhere.
I changed mine (well actually bridged the hole for now with inner tube and zip ties) and the car runs sweet as a nut and no more fault codes! went from like 6 codes to 0.
CHECK YOUR BREATHERS
