im after a new hood for my 1992 clipper does n ee 1 no the cheapest place to get 1 i've had a quote of £325 fitted :laugh:

where abouts are you from mate?there's a fella in swansea that does the mohair for £250 fitted.done a cracking job on mine.

anyone had any quotes for a new hood fitted as well as the rear window surround done,as in a new one fitted with existing window? pref mohair roof.. :undecided:

hey dinx if your in london theres a place called soft-tops they will do me a mohair roof for £295 fitted give em a call 020 8670 6160 they should be able to help

Dinx, you need to find a local coachtrimmer round your area but they are a dying breed these days, compared to what some have paid on here I paid top dollars for mine doing, I was charged £150 labour to have my hood fitted and I had to buy the hood myself.  :sad: He did put the old window in though and he did a good job all round so cant really complain.  :smiley:

ive already had a quote for a blue mohair with surround anywhere i want it fittin...just was askin if others had asked...n these r meant to b gud.. :smiley:

I saw that on ebay as well but it's not clear if the window surround is included.

I did email the guy and explain I was after a window surround NOT the whole frame but his response only ever mentioned the complete fame.

Its getting to the stage where if I so much as breathe near my rear window it's going to fall out. Gulp  :cry:

well the company im on about brings the new surround for to fit to ur cab wen fittin the new roof..but i reckon overall they r one of the most expensive..but the new surround is sorta pullin me towards using them... :undecided: ..think im gonna make sum enquiries...
