Hi all,
Anyone know what has happened to the availability of Parking Sensors on a Golf R? According to a recent Golf price list they are available as an option for the R, but they have mysteriously disappeared off VW's car configurator? I know they were there not that long ago!
If VW have decided to take them off the options list for the R then it's a very odd decision!! Any ideas as to why they might choose to?

Hmmmmm!
How odd, to be there one minute then gone the next :undecided:
Phone your dealer pal and ask....

Surely not already, it's a 12plate isn't it?

Yes MrGTD you're right, but I'm within a week of rejecting my Ed35 if the dealer doesn't get it fixed - so I'm considering my options at the moment.

Yeah sorry mate, just read your other thread....I've been away in Devon for a week and now I'm trying to catch up on things...I read this thread first before reading your other one

To be honest am undecided. Couldn't justify the extra cost of of an 'R' at the start of the year and probably still couldn't now. But got to admit though - that Rising Blue is a cracking colour!

I agree it's a really nice colour. I couldn't justify the extra fuel costs, insurance, tax and so on of the Ed35 over the GTI, even though when the GTI was fully specced, it's not far off an Ed35, it's been bad enough coming from a 2.0 TDI lol

Rising blue or the CW for the R...personal opinion of course tho but if I had to choose between the two then it wud be the Rising all the way for the R....
-
I saw a black R in Devon which looked  also....

steel grey with black alloys on 3 door R also equals win, looks nice and sinister :)

Parking sensors are for big girls!

Parking sensors are for big girls!
Or for careful drivers, or for drivers driven to distraction by their kids arguing on the back seat on the way to school and who need a reminder of the obstacles around them. If that makes me a big girl then so be it - at least my car will still be in one piece at the end of it!

Friend of mine still bent her bumper in spite of the parking sensors. They go off so far from the obstacle, that you just get used to ignoring them.

Personally I like the fact it tell you well in advanced and after a few times of getting out and checking...you get to know when to listen to the beeps and stop ect ect, well that's how I've learnt anyways...
