Take it i need to cut the stock exhaust to fit an after-market one but where, Don't want to cut it to short, Any ideas????

What exhaust are you trying to fit? New? Second hand?
Most systems come with an adaptor sleeve which slides over the existing exhaust :smiley:

New! an ebay job! it came with an adaptor sleeve but cant see any joints past the Cat!

Got a tape measure? Measure your new system, measure the old system, measure the adaptor sleeve and do some maths :tongue: :smiley:

ye, we found thta the stock exhausts came as a whole unit and had to chop it off.

Stock exhaust is single piece with mid silencer and ends before the cat. Why they did this I will never know, it makes it easier I imagine in a factory environment. I remember chopping my mid silencer to bypass it with the TDI pipe.

Yeah a bit of a pain! but should be fitted by next week!
