Title: Noisy TDI

100 bhp TDI Auto sounds bloody noisy when you first start it, shuts up a bit when warm, but still sounds more noisy than most I think?

Also when ticking over you can here a "tick tick tick tick"   :embarassed:

Done an EGR delete, full service, pipe simplify and a new genuine MAF since I bought it

It does go well and drives nice though  :huh:

Any ideas anyone?

They are normally a little lumpy on start up...well mine is  :laugh: :lipsrsealed:

Could be your tappets worn...Take your rocker cover off and inspect.

diesel knock and knocky tappetts or maybe camshaft wear. i swapped the tappetts on my non pd and it dis wonders

Are they hydraulic then? also does the 100bhp have a vein turbo?
