Title: Cambelt?
Post by: thfc_123 on 25 June 2012, 18:11
Hi. I've just bought a 1999 MK4 Non Turbo with 128K on-the-clock. The bloke I bought it off says that when he bought it the person he bought off said it was replaced at 80K but there is no paperwork to back this up. Any ideas when the next ones due on milage and/or time? Many Thanks.

I think VW recommend every 60k/4 years. Best get it done for peace of mind.

Replace it, worth it for the piece of mind (due every 40k or 4 years I believe)

Debatable what dealer you talk to. Some say 40k some say 60k some say 50k

If you can afford it get it done sooner rather than later
