Title: mk3 textured bumpstrip colour coding
Post by: robjackson on 25 June 2012, 16:45
Hi folks, iv looked on here and elswhere but not found a difinative answer,
What i want to do on my red mk3 wagon is make the wastelione black plastc mouldind down each door, (+wing/qtr) and f+r bumpers gloss black.
I can sort out the bumpers but would prefer to remove the side trim if its not a big hastle rather than mask up the whole sides of the car in this crappy weather, then try to sand and fill it all up the path!
If i had the parts in my garage to work on them then i could probably still use the car and take my time.
Any sugestions on if these trim parts are easy to undo?
Cheers, rob

Side trim just clips on but you will need new clips afterwards as they always break.

Chers wayne,
Do you know, or does anyone know from experience, should i just tug at it, or any other method, without damaging the rest of the paint
