My mate works at pro alloy and the build lotus Elise 1.8 20v. Theirs is 495hp :laugh:

yeah id have to agree :sad: all the cheaper Rods are exactly the same just branded up to suit
IE are doing all theirs in the USA now.. so thats what iv just bought.. riffled drilled too, scat aint and neither are any of the cheap ones. some people are ok with this and don't see it a issue.. but the OEM ones are so ? ....

I remember seeing that in CKC, loads of these kit cars sadly don't have room for a v8, so zetec engines and 1.8t become a popular choice.
I been looking myself at a kit car, only one that floats my boat is the gt40 with the 5.0 v8, nom nom nom. Also only recently found out there was a DSG variation of the 1.8T, not sure what car as on the TT only the vr6 got the DSG, it was mentioned in CKC a few months back but never stated the donor car.
