What a day up early to work removed WMI pressure type switch and fit MAF based progressive controller, filled up meth tank and away i went. Rigged up laptop carried timing pull logs was pulling 8-9degrees advanced to much as i added 6degrees last week. Dropped timing by 3 and carried 3rd gear pull on motorway pulling just under 6degrees. WMI start at 3.4v/6psi and full at 4.1v/13psi now pulls like a train bloody awesome. Waiting for TB spacer so can go dual nozzle one after cooler smaller nozzle after TB better cooling and poss more timing= more power. Best mod i've done by far highly recommended.

Good work mate. The pull with the injection running is awesome, I love it
My controller is boost controlled, not sure how different that would make it to yours?
-
W.M.I is the best thing Ive done
Am I right in thinking youve changed yours from the manual brass boost solenoid to the electronic one ?
Was it hard to install, as I think Il be doing this shortly so I can adjust in car

:embarassed: i want this!!
Chris show me next week?

Could have showed you mine today

Could have shown me tomorrow if u didn't leave early

My intake temps well down compared with boost controller, mine now down to 10 degrees which is damn low compared to 20+ with boost controller. I speak to Scott at usrt in state main man for wmi over there said if go fast spoiling turbo like ko3/s must run maf controller comes in a lot faster and correct time from the 1st component on car the MAF. A lot smoother now and potent a must have I'd say.

Took an hour to change over easy just running wires 2 to tank, 3 power supply and 1 to MAF can put more timing on too.

:) sounds good. have you logged the timing pull yet? Pointless dialing in the timing if the ECU is still detecting knock and pulling timing map.

Yep doing that yesterday on motorway 3rd gear pulls, Did add 6degress but was pulling near 8 so dropped to 3 advanced now pulling around 5. Going twin nozzle when my flange finally turns up from states will get lower temp and timing pull will lower. even at 6 advanced no detenation pulling from 2000-6500rpm intake temps 20degrees, down to 16 at times tyrolsport smic doing its job. Lad in runcorn who i use for power runs says can use his rolling road for couple hours if need be £50, so check 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear pull will do that when correct size nozzles and solenoid fitted. Vagcom and unisetting so helpful, had to do it myself no one wants touch water/meth. not doing a bad job myself don't think so far anyways.

Not changing any fuelling?

Not changing any fuelling?
Not changing anything now till get both nozzles fitted and on rollers can log everything then. The lad with rollers sell water/meth kits does AEM pretty good stuff ain't cheap. Fueling if req can be altered with unisettings but couple people who I've spoke to haven't needed to but all is in hand.

How much was your AEM kit mate?

Doing some more logging today on m62 filled up yesterday with tesco99 deffo a difference, was pulling around 6degrees timing with 95ron fuel 3.5ish with 99ron. added 1.5 so now added 4.5degrees timing pulling still under 6, feels awesome. on motorway intake air temp low as low as 15degrees. Wish my TB spacer would hurry up and come then off on the rollers more logging and few power runs.

did order the usally sideways rally team one? if you have the devils own nozzles they dont fit.
-
Ye the USRT spacer not come yet but got devil and snow performance nozzles. Can always drill and tap if I get stuck, got correct tap for devil nozzles here at work.
-
yeah they use the same 1/8 tap but the devils own nozzles don't have a lot of thread on and don't go all the way through USRT spacer, so this causes the nozzle to drip instead of a fine mist and you can't counter sink the hole as there's not enough meat on the spacer.
