Been looking into this for a while now guys but I would appreciate some of your thoughts!
For those of you running brembo or porsche brakes, whats your setup?
Anyone else got any ideas of what they would go go for?
LCR Brembo's, Porsche 996 rears, Porsche 996 fronts, others?
Cheers, Hoggy.

LCR brembos  because there good.

I run stock vented setup with uprated hoses, uprated fluid and better disc pad combo and it performs extremely well. Unless I was going over 300bhp I'd say its more than adequate with them upgrades compared to stock setup when I compared it too a friends car.

hope you got wheel spacers for the brembos.
-
how you got wheel spacers for the brembos.
You can fit the LCR brembos under 17"...maybe even 16s. Just throw some spacers on if you cannot clear your alloy.

was ment to write hope you've got spacers to clear the brembos lol

They will not fit under 16" (312mmis the biggest) and are a tight fit under 17"s

The LCR's are 17's aren't they? :undecided: Intentionaly by SEAT to make em look bigger?

Lcr wheels are 18" but u can get them in 17" which are quite rare and the brake disc is 323mm. The ibiza cupra r also had the brembos fitted but the brackets were made to pair with the 312mm brake disc.

Im running 18" R32 reps with 5mm spacers so shouldnt be a problem.
LCR's seem to cropping up a lot here, guessing thats the setup to go for?
Cheers, Hoggy.

you need at least a 15mm(30mm total) spacer for r32 wheels fit over lcr brembos.

Jeeze really? Seems a lot for one of the smaller setups..

Not necessarily, normally R32 reps are et35, plus a 5mm spacer gives you et30.
I think the standard 18" LCR alloys are 7.5J et38 (8mm less clearance) and obviously they clear the brembos, but only just, although their spokes bow outwards which gives extra room inside the wheel.
Understanding wheel offset can be a bit of a ball-ache! Anyway I reckon as long as the back of the spokes aren't too deep into the wheel then 18" et30(incl spacer) should do it, we're talking within mm's though! If you were to fit a 10mm spacer(20mm total) you'd have an offset(et)25, prob have the room for 996/Boxster S fronts, although there's less messing around to fit the LCR setup and is almost on par with the porsche setup on a mk4.
I have an LCR brembo setup in my garage waiting to go on(not til Aug/Sept time though ), my wheels are 18" BBS RC 8j et32 which I'm hoping might just clear, if not then a 5mm spacer will defo do it.
Be interesting to see how you get on dude, it's been done many times before so shouldn't be too difficult!
Good luck whatever you decide to do!
I need to go and lay down now

Cheers for all that info Rico, much appreciated! :)
Just gotta find some LCR Brembo's now ;)
-
the ET doesn't really matter its about spoke position. do you want pics?
