Title: Suspension parts advice from the pros
Post by: Lewisf1988-DUB on 21 June 2012, 08:36
Hi lads,
just purchased my bilstein b4 sport shocks and H&R springs the other week and am looking to fit them on Saturday, the below diagram shows the suspension setup for the mk4, when I put on my coilovers before I'm sure I missed out parts 28, 23 and 15, my question is will I need to buy new ones of these parts as I no longer have my old ones, when looking at ETKA online I found that parts 28 and 15 come in various options for the likes of sports suspension but they are the same part number. What parts will I actually need on this diagram, I have parts 20, 17, 16, 21, 18 and 14 what other bits would I require?

Thanks in advance :)

You will need everything in the diagram below (ignoring the hub itself) and you won't need the spacer (28) from your ETKA diagram

While you are doing it replace the rubber top mount and bearings with new ones (items 18 and 14 on the ETKA diagram)

The bump stop (item 15 on ETKA) can be got in variouse lengths depending on the suspension as you know, get one to fit the anni as it is shorter for the lowered suspension :afro:
