Title: Front interior light housing broken

On the front interior light just behind the light switches (towards the back of the car) there is a separate piece of plastic anyway I kind of snapped it  :angry:

Is going direct to VW my only option and does anybody know how much it would cost, its not major its just two clips have snapped its a tad annoying

I don't know how much it'll be to replace but i wouldn't use superglue, the fumes will most likely bleach the plastics.

contacted vw, basically I cant replace that specific part has to be the whole housing and thats  £44. I think discreet amount of blutac could work!  :wink:

You don't say what year your GTD is but:

There are a few plastic trim bits.

Trim for interior light for models with interior monitor titanium black 10/08-05/11 - 1K8 947 133 82V - £9.89

Trim for interior light for models with interior monitor titanium black 10/08-05/11 - 1K8 947 133 D 82V - £9.89

Trim for interior light titanium black 10/08-05/11 - 1K8 947 133 F 82V - £9.89

Full trim kit interior light for models with interior monitor alu/titanium black 10/08-05/11 - 1K8 947 106 C YML - £44.81

Google these part numbers.

what are them buttons for? mine doesn't have them - is it for the sunroof or bluetooth or something?

I've got them on mine also(Didn't have them on the GTI), Don't know what the star button is for but the other two are for info & service call??

I thought the star button was for voice recognition?
